Cua Spaces: a free Space for every agent

by CuaCua

Hraness wrote this summary from a saved copy of the source. Quotations are taken word for word from the source.

gist

Cua Spaces gives each agent a full desktop on a Mac, a machine the user owns, or the user's own cloud, and streams it so a person and several agents can share the screen with separate cursors. Teleport moves an app's open tabs and sign-ins only after an on-device approval and Touch ID, then checks the bundle's hash. The Mac app, owned-machine Spaces, and the hosted relay are free during early access, with no account required for local use, while Pro and Teams remain unreleased.

ideas

  • A Space is a whole desktop. It is a virtual machine or container on the user's Mac, a machine they own, or their own cloud, and the person can watch the agent work.
  • Teleport moves a session only after consent. Tabs, profile, and sign-ins stay on the Mac until approval and Touch ID, then the Space checks the bundle's SHA-256 and can seal it to that Space's key.
  • People and agents share one screen with separate cursors. RCDP splits picture and input so someone can step in, make a call, and hand the desktop back.
  • The relay is a real trust boundary. Spaces on the Mac or reached directly skip it; when used, the relay terminates TLS and can read the stream in transit, though it does not store it.
  • Early access is free, with a license limit. Spaces, Teleport, multiplayer, and the hosted relay are free for now, while the app is source-available under FSL-1.1-MIT rather than immediate MIT.
